Call it Midwestern politeness, but I have been fairly conscientious about thanking people that fave my work. But, I am wasting a lot of time thanking a lot of people who just fave and run.
It doesn't make sense anymore to spend 30 seconds thanking someone, who spent 2 seconds to decide that my work was cool.

All is fine
I have been quite busy the past month, and there has been no fractal making.
My graphics card died, so a few weeks were spent waiting to get things fixed, then ripping my laptop apart, then ordering a part, and the actually fixing and reassembly only took 15 minutes. So, the 9 year old laptop continues on.
I suspect it will be a few more weeks of silence over here. No worries!

I used to comment on at least half of what I faved, but now I mostly fave and run. Although sometimes, when I've been watching someone for a long time, like you, I try to comment at least on one for every ten (that would be because i tend to let my inbox build up for 2 months...)
